Getting Started
What is LAN.events?
LAN.events is a platform for finding and registering for LAN party events. Browse events, buy tickets, and manage everything from one place.
How do I create an account?
Click "Sign In" and choose Discord authentication. No separate account creation needed!
Is the platform free?
The platform is free to use. You can browse and register for events for free (unless the event itself charges a ticket fee).
Finding and Registering for Events
How do I find events?
Click "Events" in the navigation bar to browse all available LAN party events. You can filter by date, location, and price.
Do I need an account to browse events?
No! You can browse events without an account. However, you'll need to sign in to register for events.
How do I register for an event?
- Click on an event to view details
- Click "Reserve a Seat" (or "Sign In to Register" if not signed in)
- Select your preferred seat from the seating chart
- Complete checkout (payment required for paid events)

Can I see the seating chart before registering?
Yes! You can view the seating chart on any event page to see available seats before registering.
Tickets
How do I view my tickets?
Click "My Tickets" in the navigation bar to see all your upcoming and past event registrations.
How do I get my ticket?
After completing registration (and payment for paid events), your ticket is automatically created. You can view it in "My Tickets" in your account.
How do I get my QR code for check-in?
- Go to "My Tickets"
- Click on your ticket
- Scroll to the "Check-In QR Code" section
- Show the QR code on your phone or download it to print
QR codes are only available for paid tickets.
Can I transfer my ticket?
Yes! If you can't attend an event, you can transfer your ticket to another user. See Managing Tickets for details.
What if I can't attend an event?
You can transfer your ticket to someone else, or contact the event organizer about refund policies (if applicable).
Payments
What payment methods can I use?
Payment methods depend on what the event organizer has set up:
- Stripe: Credit cards, debit cards, and more
- PayPal: PayPal accounts and credit cards
Is my payment information secure?
Yes! Payments are processed through Stripe or PayPal, which are PCI-compliant payment processors. The platform never stores your payment card information.
What if I need a refund?
Refunds are handled through the event organizer's payment provider (Stripe or PayPal). Contact the event organizer directly for refund requests.

What browsers are supported?
The platform works on all modern browsers:
- Chrome (recommended)
- Firefox
- Safari
- Edge
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet! The platform is fully responsive and works great on mobile browsers. A mobile app is planned for the future.

Privacy & Security
Is my payment information secure?
Yes! Payments are processed through Stripe or PayPal, which are PCI-compliant payment processors. The platform never stores your payment card information.
What data do you collect?
We collect:
- Basic account information (name, email from OAuth provider)
- Ticket and registration information
Can I delete my account?
Account deletion functionality is planned for a future release. Contact support for assistance.
